SUMMARY:Imagine the Arts: A Starry Night at The Lab
DESCRIPTION:Imagine The Arts will provide attendees and potential donors with unique hands-on learning opportunities\, similar to what Plainfield K-5 students experience each month. There will be artists and artisans around the room interacting with guests. The purpose of the event is for the attendees to imagine what students could gain through raising funds and allow The Imagination Lab to hire a different artisan each month and teach the students a unique skill. Artisans can range from local farmers teaching students about agriculture with hands-on farming experience to woodworkers teaching students the art of building and creating. Our goal is to raise $20\,000 through sponsorships\, ticket sales\, donations\, and auction items.

DESCRIPTION:Bread for the World\, a Christian organization working to end hunger through advocacy\, will host a screening of the Emmy nominated documentary The Working Hungry. This 30-minute film tells the story of three families struggling with food insecurity in Indiana and explains why systemic solutions are needed to make sure that no family experiences hunger in our communities. \nAfter the film\, there will be a discussion of sustainable solutions to food insecurity in Indiana and across the country.
