Join us for “Imagine the Sciences: a Butterfly Gala” and support The Imagination Lab on September 21\, 2024 from 7:00-9:00pm. \nAppetizers\, mocktails\, and science experiences included. The proceeds support science programs at the Lab and scholarships for summer camps at the Imagination Lab. \nThe Imagination Lab\, a hands-on learning center\, focusing on STEM (science\, technology\, engineering\, and math\, including computer science) for K-5 students in Plainfield Schools. STEM learning fosters important skills like critical thinking\, problem-solving\, and creativity. The mission of The Imagination Lab is to empower students to think for themselves\, imagine their futures\, and grow the confidence\, desire\, and drive it takes to change their world. The Imagination Lab does this by providing memorable\, hands-on learning experiences for the students when they attend an Odyssey at the Lab each month of the school year.

SUMMARY:Blaze the B&O Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:The B&O Trail Association will present its 3rd annual “Blaze the B&O” fun run and walk on at 9:00 a.m. September 28 at Cardinal Park\, 3432 Hornaday Road in Brownsburg\, Indiana. Presented by IU Health West\, Big O Tires\, Brownsburg Running Club and Brownsburg Parks\, the event includes both a four-mile fun and a two-mile walk option held partly on the B&O Trail. The event will raise funds to further expand the B&O Trail in Marion and Hendricks Counties. Registered participants will receive commemorative t-shirts and finisher medals\, with winners receiving awards. Registrations must be submitted no later than September 21 to guarantee a t-shirt. To register\, visit botrail.org and click on the event information.\nWith a mission of Blazing Trails\, Connecting Communities\, the B&O Trail Association (BOTA) is creating a recreational trail along the abandoned B&O Railroad corridor. The non-profit\, all-volunteer organization was formed in 1993 and has already completed 8.25 miles of paved trail. BOTA partners with the Speedway Trails Association (STA)\, which has now completed three miles on the west side of Indianapolis\, which run from Michigan Street to High School Rd. Beginning this fall\, BOTA and STA will start construction on the segment connecting the trail from Raceway Rd. to High School Rd. in Indianapolis\, resulting in 16 miles of continuous trail from downtown Indianapolis to the center of Hendricks County.\nAnyone interested in assisting by volunteering please email contact@botrail.org for sign-up information.\nTo learn more\, visit botrail.org. to High School Road.
