DESCRIPTION:Chopped Challenge is a cooking competition and fundraiser that aims to highlight the reality that 27% of Hendricks County families are struggling to meet their basic needs. During this competition competitors will be working in cooking stations similar to that of an extended stay motel\, competitors will be challenged to create a delicious meal\, using a mystery basket of food items donated from the local food pantries. Teams will be provided with cooking utensils and equipment that have been donated or bought on a tight budget.\nAudience members will have the opportunity to sabotage teams with real world challenges or help them by purchasing extra ingredients or better tools.

Local restaurants compete for the “Best Ribs” & “Best Sauce” bragging rights by local celebrity judges. \nIn addition to Rib-Fest\, the community can participate in the 9th Annual Rib Run sponsored by IU Health West with a 5k run and followed by Riblet Kids Run.

The Rib Run 5k will start at 9AM\, and then as a part of the grand opening for the day long festival the Kids Riblet Run will take off promptly at 10AM. We all know it is warm in late June\, but there really is no better way to get in those morning miles than with lots of friends starting Rib-Fest. The course is flat as can be (hello Indiana!)\, and perfect for runner/walkers of all abilities. After you finish the whole festival is open and ready for fun! Enjoy delicious post race treats ($5 of festival $ included with entry)\, enjoy the inflatables\, stick around to watch some hilarious improv shows and more!
